There were obstacles on the way of his vision…
Bankruptcy hitted his company and Sanjay along with his mother Mrs. Indira Gandhi started the search for a partner with whom they can move ahead with the dream. They conversed with giants of Japan - Toyota, Honda and Nissan and not really were interested with Suzuki since it was a small player. But faith had some thing else meant for Maruti, you got it right… i.e. SUZUKI.
But tragedy hit them again!!
Sanjay Gandhi passed away mid-way through his dream…but his mother carried it forward…
Maruti entered into the collaboration with Suzuki Motors. The collaboration led to the revolution in the Indian car industry by production of the Maruti 800…the DREAM CAR of Sanjay Gandhi…
If he would have been alive, he could see that he actually REVOLUTIONIZED the Indian Automobile Industry…
This is when Maruti Suzuki started its tour of success!!
